What to do when it rains in the Vendée?
The Vendée is a tourist region, so there are plenty of options to choose from.
But for this half-day trip in the rain, we're offering you the chance to discover the depths of the ocean.
Meet some rare species.
Dive into the secrets of the most beautiful seas.
For a morning, you'll have plenty to see.
A timeless trip that will help you forget the bad weather.
One of Europe's largest private aquariums is just a few minutes away from the Sainte Anne campsite.
Head for La Rochelle and its sublime aquarium.
The visit to the Aquarium is divided into several worlds.
Start with the Atlantic, then cross to the Mediterranean, then the Caribbean, the Indo-Pacific.
Let yourself shiver as you pass under the sharks, then find a little gentleness among the turtles.
Throughout your visit, you'll see species you know, but you'll also discover breeds you've never seen before. From the striped surgeonfish to the great shark, marine animals will no longer hold any secrets for you.
You'll see the animals evolve in a recreation of their natural habitat.
You won't see time go by.
At the end of the 1? hour visit, you'll leave with your head full of images and having learned new things about the seabed.
For the rest of the day, you can choose to return to the campsite or take the opportunity to explore the city of La Rochelle (if the rain holds off).
